Hello, I'm Josh - a Wiltshire based professional wedding photographer specialising in documentary wedding photography, which is sometimes now known as 'wedding photojournalism'.
A bit about my style...
My whole approach stems from the view that it is a privilege to join you for such an important day in your lives. I firmly believe that the day is yours to enjoy, not mine to dictate.
I am there to capture the real events and true memories of your day with no posing, prompting or directing, leaving you free to relax, be yourselves and free from having to endure any annoying interference.
Basically, I aim to remain unobtrusive or unnoticed and ensure you are at ease whenever you occasionally spot the camera pointed in your direction. That's not to say I dress all in black, hide under tables or sneak around like some kind of Ninja though!
Working in this way lets me build up a good rapport with you and the guests and allows me to get close to the action, meaning I can capture those fleeting moments that would otherwise go unnoticed.
In terms of actually shooting, I work almost exclusively with natural light which allows me to get close to the action without a big distracting blast of flash going off and drawing attention to myself. This then helps me to create powerful and engaging images that really stand the test of time and that might have been lost otherwise.

A bit about me...
I live in Wiltshire, just a stones throw from Stonehenge with my beautiful wife Becca. Outside of photography I am a keen (though not very good) cyclist and barefoot runner (yes, totally barefoot!). I'm also a massive Formula One fan and with photographing wedding throughout the race weekends, I'm very grateful to whoever invented the Sky+ recorder!
